Sailgating for Game Day
Calling all 12’s, Kraken, Sounder, Cougar and Husky fans! There is no better place to be on game day than Bell Harbor Marina. Bring your boat, invite your friends, and let the "sailgating" begin! Bell Harbor Marina is centrally located to all Seattle sports stadiums. Lumen Field, T-Mobile Park, and Climate Pledge Arena are a quick, 10-minute ride via Uber or Lyft. Make a weekend of your game day festivities! Arrive early to take in the sights and enjoy the local fare.
Here is a recommendation of a fun way to pregame before cheering on your favorite Seattle sports teams.
Sample trip schedule
First, arrive on Friday to our friendly staff waiting to catch your lines upon request. Settle into your slip right in the heart of downtown Seattle and then walk over to Anthony's Restaurant at Pier 66 for happy hour. Ask for a seat out on the deck overlooking your boat at the marina! Enjoy their famous calamari and great selection of crafted beers and Pacific Northwest wines.
After happy hour make your way to the Seattle Center to see Seattle's top attractions like the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, Pacific Science Center, or the Museum of Pop Culture. All located conveniently at the Seattle Center Campus and is only a quick 10-minute ride from Anthony's. We highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance to see any of these attractions as they tend to get busy, especially on the weekends!
On Saturday, invite your friends over for breakfast down on the docks and then let the sailgating commence! Depending on when the game is, you may have time to swing by the famous waterfront piers starting at Pier 62 and working your way down towards the stadiums by Pier 48. Scan a QR code and catch an electric bike or scooter to make it a fun adventure down the waterfront.
On Sunday morning, there is no better way to top off an epic weekend in downtown Seattle than Pike Place Market. The market is the perfect 10-minute morning stroll away from your slip at Bell Harbor Marina. Pike Place Market is a foodie's dream come true with fresh produce, seafood, and delectables. Must tries are Piroshky, Piroshky, Beechers mac and cheese, and Ellenos greek yogurt. Watch the fish fly at the seafood market and they may even let you try to catch a fish yourself! Walk through all of the artisan crafts, handmade goods, and specialty items from hundreds of vendors.
