That's why Port of Seattle Fire Department’s EMTs play such a vital role in keeping travelers safe.
These EMS crews are comprised of highly trained professionals who are equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies. They work closely with airport security and other first responders to provide prompt and effective medical care to passengers and airport staff.
One of the most important roles of Port of Seattle Fire Department at SEA is to respond to medical emergencies on commercial flights. When an emergency occurs, the pilot will contact air traffic control, who will then alert the airport's EMS crew to prepare for the plane's arrival.
