Watch fish fly at the Pike Place Market. Take time to smell the roses at Centennial Park. Stroll along Elliott Bay with a view of Mt. Rainier and the Olympics. Explore Seattle’s working waterfront, walk the docks and have lunch at Fishermen’s Terminal. There are so many places to see when you are not rushing to the airport with your luggage in tow.
At the end of your cruise, spend a day enjoying Seattle. And when you get to the airport, your bags will already be there safe and sound. It’s all possible through Port Valet, a complimentary cruise luggage program sponsored by the Port of Seattle.
“Port Valet is a wonderful way for visitors to leave their baggage and explore the great things Seattle has to offer,” said Tom Norwalk, CEO of Visit Seattle. “You can visit Pike Place Market, see the Space Needle, or even taste some wine in Woodinville before catching your flight home.”
Here’s how it works:
1. Enroll during your cruise
Port Valet is offered by all cruise lines. Complete an enrollment form, found in your stateroom, during your cruise. Check with the guest services team on your cruise line for specific details on Port Valet.
You can use Port Valet if you are flying with these participating airlines:
- Alaska
- American
- Delta
- Horizon
- Southwest
- United
Note: Port Valet is for flights departing after 12:00 p.m.
2. Drop your luggage
The night before your cruise ends, you’ll receive your airline boarding passes and special luggage tags from your ship’s crew. Set your bags outside your cabin that evening and the ship's crew will pick them up.
Your luggage will be securely transferred directly from the cruise ship and checked in with your airline all the way to your destination airport. You don’t have to do a thing.
3. Enjoy Seattle
Capitalize on your freedom and spend the day exploring Seattle in its most beautiful season. Create your own personalized itinerary at Visit Seattle.
4. Skip check-in at the airport
When you arrive at Sea Airport, proceed through security and board the plane. Your luggage will be checked to your final destination!
5. Track your luggage
You can track your bags at the Port Valet website.
It’s free, convenient, and safe. And sponsored by the Port of Seattle so you can get to know the Emerald City.
