Open enrollment is the annual period when you can elect Port-sponsored benefits coverage for you and your eligible dependents for the coming year.
Make your elections between November 6 and November 30, 2023. Coverage begins January 1, 2024.

- 2024 Premiums are increasing
- HSA, Healthcare and Limited FSA, and Dependent Care contribution limits:
- Health Savings Account (HSA) Contributions:
- $4,150-Employee Only Coverage
- $8,300-Family Coverage
- Flexible Savings Account
- You can contribute pretax dollars from your paycheck, up to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) limit of $3,050 in 2024.
- If you have not used all of your FSA funds by the end of the year, you may carry over a minimum of $45 and a maximum of $615 into the next year, provided you are a Port employee on January 1 of the next year.
- Dependent Care
- You can contribute pretax dollars from your paycheck, up to the IRS limit of $5,000 if you are single or married filing jointly, or $2,500 if you are married filing separately.
- Health Savings Account (HSA) Contributions:

Important Notes:
- Only employees enrolled in the Port-sponsored High Deductible Health Plan may enroll in an HSA.
- Employees represented by a labor union and not eligible for Port-sponsored benefits should consult their respective collective bargaining agreements for details about their specific healthcare benefits.
- You must be connected to the Port network (e.g. through VPN if you are at home) to access HCM.

Eligible Family Members
Eligible family members include spouses or domestic partners, children, step-children, domestic partner's children, and children for whom you are a legal guardian. Children are eligible for coverage through the month in which they turn age 26. Tax dependency, marital, and student status are not considered in determining eligibility.
